Premise

'ROUGH SKETCH' is a return to the raw beginning, the first marks on paper, unrefined, uneven, imperfect. It celebrates the kind of creativity that doesn’t wait for permission or polish. Every line and stroke feels instinctive, as if drawn in a rush of thought before it could be overthought. This is a piece that embraces the chaos of early ideas and refuses to apologise for them.

Design Notes 

Cut from 200gsm 100% jersey cotton, chosen for its soft-yet-structured handle, the tee serves as a blank sheet for the design to live on. The graphic was created using hand-drawn crayon lines, later transferred directly to print without “fixing” any of the wobbles or overlaps. This process keeps the original energy intact, no digital smoothing, no perfect symmetry, just the purity of the first pass.

The Symbolism

• Graphics: The rough, childlike strokes push against the perfectionism of machine-generated art. They carry the immediacy of thought before self-editing sets in.

• Colour: Primary shades echo the earliest creative tools we encounter as children, connecting back to a time when making was instinct, not calculation.
